The Papillon, which translates to "butterfly," was first launched in 1966. Its unique cylindrical shape and cross-grain leather handles (resembling butterfly wings) make it one of the most recognizable vintage silhouettes from the house of Louis Vuitton.

Exterior Canvas: The Monogram canvas is in excellent condition. It remains thick, vibrant, and maintains its iconic rounded shape perfectly without any cracks or tears.
Leather Trim & Handles:
The handles are crafted from cross-grain leather (not Vachetta), making them more resistant to water and darkening.
They show light surface wear and minor creasing, but remain very strong.
The dark brown trim around the circular ends is well-preserved with minimal rubbing.
Hardware: The gold-tone zipper and handle rings show moderate tarnishing and plating loss, which is typical for a vintage Papillon. The zipper pull remains functional and smooth.
Interior: The interior is lined in terracotta-colored cross-grain leather and is very clean. There are no major scratches, peelings, or stickiness, which is common in older LV interiors.
Piping: The piping around both circular ends is intact, showing only very slight rubbing on the edges.
 
Overall: This Louis Vuitton Papillon 30 is in very good vintage condition. It is a fantastic example of a 90s/early 2000s classic that has been kept in great shape. Its structured, playful shape makes it a standout accessory.
